The program
DFPP Academy is a free educational program operated as a pilot initiative by DFPP LLC, teaching AI literacy and related skills to middle- and high-school students through live sessions and a self-paced web application. There is no cost to participate. By using the DFPP Academy website or application, a parent/guardian (or a staff member acting on the program's behalf) agrees to these terms.
Who can use this
- The public interest form may be completed by any parent or guardian on behalf of a prospective student.
- Student accounts are created only by DFPP Academy staff, for students actively enrolled in the program, after a parent or guardian has provided consent in person.
- Staff accounts are created for instructors and administrators of the program.
Account responsibilities
Student accounts are for coursework only. Credentials should not be shared. If a student needs a password reset, a parent or the student should contact their instructor — DFPP Academy staff handle all credential resets directly; there is no self-service password recovery for student accounts.
Acceptable use
Use of the application should be limited to program coursework. Don't:
- Attempt to access another student's account or data
- Use the application or its AI tools to create harmful, harassing, or inappropriate content
- Attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorized access to the application or its systems
Coursework and content
Curriculum materials made available through DFPP Academy are owned by DFPP Academy or licensed from their original sources, and are provided for use within the program. Work a student creates as part of their own coursework or capstone project — their ideas, writing, and projects — belongs to the student and their family.
No warranty
DFPP Academy is a volunteer-run pilot program provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We do our best to keep the application available and accurate, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted access or that the application will be free of errors.
Ending participation
A parent or guardian may withdraw their student from the program at any time by contacting us. DFPP Academy may also deactivate an account if these terms are violated, or as the program requires.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the program develops. We'll post the updated terms here with a new "last updated" date.
